Biography

Jahangir Alam has been working as an associate professor at the School of Mechanical & Automotive Engineering in the South China University of Technology, P.R. China since 2014. He received his PhD (Doctor of Engineering) degree in Mechatronic Engineering from Xiamen University, P.R. China. He has 6 patents and has published more than 30 papers, among which 16 papers are SCI/EI indexed. He has completed 19 scientific research projects as a principal investigator (PI) and participant. He has conducted the MOOC program for the course of Control Engineering Theory. His current interests in research and teaching are control engineering, robotic, machine visions, signals and image processing, biosignal and information processing, machine learning, biomaterials, biomedical engineering, etc.

Hu Guoqing is a scientist, an academician, a prominent pioneer professor, and a PhD supervisor at the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering in the South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, P.R. China. He was a visiting professor at The University of Queensland (Australia), The University of Nottingham (UK), The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Case Western Reserve University (USA). He has published more than 200 journal papers (including SCI and EI indexed), authorized 30 patents, and completed more than 60 scientific research projects.

Hafiz Md. Hasan Babu is a prominent scientist, an academician, and a pioneer professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and the founding Chairman of the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Dhaka, and a member of the Accreditation Council in the Ministry of Education in Bangladesh. He was also a Pro-Vice-Chancellor of National University and a member of the Prime Minister’s ICT Task Force Committee in Bangladesh.

Huazhong Xu is an engineer and experimentalist at the School of Mechanical and Automotive in the South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, P.R. China. He has designed several industrial control systems, systems for testing the sealing structure of nuclear power gate, and systems for monitoring stress on the buried pipeline for natural gas transport.
